TEMPERED GLASS
A type of safety glass that is heat-treated to increase its strength and durability. It is designed to be more resistant to breakage than regular glass, and if it does break, it shatters into small pieces, relatively harmless.
Tempered glass is commonly used in applications where safety is a concern, such as in doors and windows and shower doors.
LAMINATED GLASS
A type of safety glass that is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic sheets (PVB) between two or more sheets of glass. This process creates a strong, shatter-resistant material that is ideal for applications where safety is a concern.
Laminated glass is often used in building facades, and other areas where protection from impact or forced entry is required.
INSULATED GLASS
It consist of two or more pieces of glass separated by an airspace and an aluminium space around the edges, sealed to the perimeter in controlled conditions.
The space between the panes acts as an insulating barrier, reducing heat transfer and improving energy efficiency.
HEAT-SOAKED GLASS
Heat Soak Test (HST) was introduced to check for the presence of Nickel Sulfide (Nis), that undergoes an additional heat treatment process to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage.
During this process, the glass is heated to a high temperature to accelerate the potential failure of any unstable glass particles that may be present.
HEAT-STRENGTHENED GLASS
Heat Strengthened Glass is manufactured similarly to Tempered Glass, produced by heating a glass sheet to a lower temperature than tempered glass.
When broken, the pattern is similar to an ordinary glasses, but the fragments lock together and remain in the frame.
FLOAT GLASS
Most common method of flat glass production, is made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal, typically tin. This process creates a smooth, flat glass surface with consistent thickness and high optical clarity.
NON-REFLECTIVE GLASS
Non-Reflective Glass making is a process in which either glass itself is altered or the surface is mechanically changed to prevent ordinary light reflection.
PATTERNED GLASS
Patterned glass is embossed with a decorative pattern or texture. The pattern is created by passing the glass through a pair of rollers that press a design onto the surface of the glass while it is still hot and malleable.
Different patterns are made by made with a wide variety of designs, ranging from simple geometric shapes to more intricate floral or abstract patterns.
MIRROR
Mirror is made by coating a sheet of glass with a thin layer of reflective material, typically aluminium or silver. It offers excellent resistance to atmospheric agents. Aesthetically, it provides long-lasting brilliant beauty as an interior decorative material.
